NANCY + JESSE GOT MARRIED! WEDDING DAY PART 2

When Nancy asked me to photograph her wedding I felt a little sick to my stomach and slightly confused. I worked with Nancy and she is a brilliant art director. "She can't actually be asking me to shoot her wedding. She's so creative. She's just being nice." I really thought I would not meet her expectations. Frankly, I'm still a bit in shock.

A couple years ago, when Nancy was living in Austin, she "swiped right" on Jesse's Tinder photo and the rest is history. Texas holds a very special place in their hearts, so when they moved back to the DC area for Jesse's job, Virtue Feed & Grain in Alexandria, VA provided that cool, rustic ambiance for their Austin inspired celebration.

Loads of family and friends gathered on the second floor and filled the overstuffed couches and barstools to see Nancy walk down the isle, and Jesse seemed just as taken with her as he was the week before at their family wedding. The bridesmaids wore beautiful flowered dresses of their choice and the guys looked smart in their suspenders.

OK, let's get on with it already! Here is Nancy and Jesse's TEXAS SIZED blog post!

Brittany & Shaun Go to Washington

These lovebirds came all the way from Indiana to get married! Brittany works for the Indiana House of Representatives, and a handful of her colleagues and state rep made the drive to witness her nuptials. Getting married in our nation's capital seemed very apropos for this couple.

Shaun and Brittany chose the DC War Memorial as their ceremony location and wouldn't you know it, it was over 100° degrees that day (heat index was 115°), but you would never tell. These two were as cool as cucumbers. They had a small gathering of friends and family join and their ceremony was simply lovely. Gosh, even I got choked up. (What else is new?)

And a big shout out to the classical guitarist, Cameron Welke! He did a lovely job providing music during the ceremony.
