Barbie Garden Party

Jumping on the Barbie bandwagon! I was asked to cover the Barbie Garden Party at the British Embassy in Washington, DC for Warner Bros. Discovery’s screening of the movie. Despite the oppressive humidity, it was such a fun event. There was more pink than a cotton candy factory!

CNN’s Abby Phillip interviewed Greta Gerwig on the steps of the Embassy, and she shared cute stories of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. The British Embassy was chosen to host the party because the Barbie Movie was filmed in England, so it was a celebration of talent across the pond. And if you’re wondering, Greta wore green and claimed because it’s on the opposite side of the color wheel from pink she would make us all stand out. Cute, Greta, cute. ;-)

You might recognize a few familiar faces. When you live in the DC area our local celebrities are usually news journalists and government officials. You will come upon them and always ask yourself, “Do I know them? They look so familiar.” Enjoy some photos!

Evie's 16th Birthday Party

We really lucked out with some lingering rain clouds and a beautiful sunset for Evie’s 16th birthday last weekend with her gal-pals, boyfriend, Mom and Aunt. What a sweet group. Evie just radiates joy!

PERSONAL PROJECT // LAST DAY OF EIGHTH GRADE

Promotion day from middle school to high school! Greydon is now a freshman and part of The Swarm at Damascus High School. GO HORNETS! Loaded him up with some DHS t-shirts and a new hoodie.

Greydon has gone full-time into golf and has never been happier or lower depending on the day (know what I mean, golfers?!). Made the Honor Roll all year and knocked out a few high school classes already. He’s taller than me and has perfected the eye roll. Next week he heads to the Dominican Republic on a school trip for eight days, while Fletcher and I hold the fort down.

We have a few special guests in this post, too!
